Nichole Kaeppeler Kulow, CSW, LPC

Owner/Therapist

Professional Background

Nichole Kaeppeler Kulow is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Social Worker, providing social and mental health services since 2009. She has specialized experience working with trauma survivors and is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. She is also trained in mindfulness-based

interventions, and particularly enjoys helping clients ‘find their focus’. Nichole enjoys sharing mindfulness interventions with others and has spoken publicly about the positive impact of mindfulness to overall wellness at state conferences and correctional facilities as a guest speaker since 2018.

Personal Background & Treatment Perspective

Nichole provides a safe space for members of the LGBTQ+ community, and offers services to children, adults, and couples. She operates from a holistic framework-treating mind, body, & spirit. Nichole takes special interest in the impact nutrition and movement have on the brain and body and utilizes interventions which encompass these areas of health. She particularly enjoys learning from her clients and meeting them where they feel best. Whether that includes ‘walk and talk therapy’, guided meditation, or telehealth, Nichole will work with you to determine what interventions & settings meet your individual needs.

Nichole is an advocate for Trauma-Informed Care and takes special interest in providing mental

health services to First Responders and Children. She grew up in a family of First Responders and has always been surrounded by them in her professional work. The time she has spent with these heroic people has helped her to develop a unique understanding of the special needs this group requires in treatment.

Nichole enjoys taking a proactive approach in therapy and believes children have a unique intuition towards mental wellness. She believes it is the job of those working with children to empower this intuition through the use of simple, educational tools which allow the child to emotionally express themselves as nature intended.

When Nichole is not providing mental health services, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and is an avid yoga enthusiast. She & her business partner Cora have been friends since earning their graduate

degrees, and she is so thrilled to now be providing community services with her as a team!
